So, I’m back. Yes, again. I’ve really missed blogging. My one “resolution” this year was to get back into blogging. Since I stopped posting here, I stopped writing my stories and poetry too. It’s like posting all of my everyday crap here freed me up to be a little bit creative and since I’m not getting rid of stuff here, I can’t form a creative thought. Blah.
So, I read 208 books in 2008. It is official, I do need to get out more. But I set a goal of 200 and made it which was pretty satisfying. This year I’m going to stick with a goal of 150 though. 200 was stressful. I think I’ll probably write some about the books I read this year but I don’t know what I’ll write exactly since I don’t really do reviews.
I’m looking at getting promoted this year. *crosses fingers* I hope anyway. My boss says he thinks it could happen in the next 8 to 10 months. But, it will mean relocating. Where exactly I have no idea. Basically the company could move me anywhere they want me to go. I’d like to stay on the east coast and I’d really like to stay within a few hours of my folks in case they need me, but I won’t turn it down if they ask me to go elsewhere. Besides, once I get my foot in the door somewhere, I can always try to come back this way in a couple of years.
I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last week. So so so good. If you haven’t seen it, you should. I cried, of course. When don’t I cry at the movies anymore? But it was so good. Not to mention that Brad looked pretty hot somewhere around the middle. The next movie I want to see is Revolutionary Road. It was playing at the only indie theater around here but it is opening in regular theaters this weekend I think. I watched Titanic this weekend just to get a Leo and Kate fix.
I’ve read 14 books already this year. Hm. I didn’t even realize I had read that much already.
I’ve been working on my family tree at ancestry.com. It’s fascinating. And frustrating. It’s also extremely addicting. Sometimes I’ll sit down to work on it for a few minutes and next thing I know it’s been four hours. I’m looking forward to spring so I can go visit some cemetarys down in NC. Yeah, that sounds weird.
Well, I’m off to meet the BFF for some shopping. Her shopping not mine. I hate to shop. But she takes me along when she shops to keep her from spending too much money. I’m sure her husband appreciates it. Toodles ~
